Historical Romance – Playlist for Naomi Boom’s Entangled Nobility Series

Historical romance music for Naomi Boom's Entangled Nobility Series.
I am a huge fan of music. Music inspires me to write, to dream, to try harder. When writing historical romance novels, I have to have background noise, but not something distracting enough to interrupt my train of thought. This might sound crazy, but I play one song on repeat for days on end. Not only can I tune that particular song out, but I can tune in when necessary to harness the emotion I wish to conjure in my writing. Needless to say, I remember which songs I listened to when I wrote my novels, and I have compiled these songs into handy reading playlists for your enjoyment.
As I add novels to my Entangled Nobility series, I will also update this page to show what I listened to. Who knows, maybe you would enjoy listening to the songs as you read the novel? If you do, please comment so I can see if you had a good experience. I read and write historical romance, but there is no reason these songs cannot work for any era. Let’s face it. Emotions are emotions, no matter the time period.

I have a handy Pandora playlist if you don’t want to go to the trouble of finding each individual song. Be warned though, I adjust it to my tastes regularly. So if you want the literal playlist associated with each novel, refer to the list(s) below.

To Tempt a Viscount by Naomi Boom:

Nicki Minaj “Grand Piano” <- If you have never heard this, just give it a try. It’s beautiful.

Sara Bareilles “Gravity” <- My #1 go-to romance song

Christina Perri “Mine”

Gabrielle Aplin “Please Don’t Say You Love Me”

Ruth B. “Lost Boy”

Adele “Million Years Ago”

Jessie Ware “Say You Love Me”

Skylar Grey “I Know You”

Some of these songs transfer from one book to another. For instance, Gravity by Sara Bareilles plays weekly in my house. I will include this particular song in every playlist for the Entangled Nobility series. Be warned. You might as well listen to it now.
